"Trump won about 4 out of 10 votes in New York, so it's possible that most of them were Trump enthusiasts." --Donna

"Yeah, Donna, all those dimwitted people of color in New York who are cautious about being vaxxed." --HtS (We assume some sarcasm in his comment)

BTW, it's Donna who called the unvaxxed "dimwits."

I didn't want to over-commit, so I said "it's possible that", but those maps show a clear correlation between COVID hot spots in New York and Trump voters.

    Great post

If there can possibly any sort of silver lining to this, it must irke the Trump supporters something awful to know that when this over there will be far fewer of their fellow Trump supporters around compared to the rest of who masked up and got vaccinated !!

Study: Risk of dying from COVID 50% higher in red states
UNDATED (WKRC/CNN Newsource) - People who live in states that voted for Donald Trump are at a 50% higher risk of dying from COVID-19.

That's according to a new CNN analysis of data from Johns Hopkins University, which shows a direct parallel between low vaccination rates and higher death rates in individual states.

Pro-Trump red states had a 52% higher average of COVID-19 deaths per capita than blue states, researchers found.

That mirrors the vaccination rate data, which showed that 4 in 10 Republicans remain unvaccinated, compared to just 1 in 10 Democrats.
